Edible Flowers

I know putting real flowers on a cake is considered normal, but it weirds me out. There's no telling what kind of pesticides, fertilizers, or dyes are in and/or on them. I have similar issues with artificial flowers. They aren't food safe.
So I decided to learn how to make edible flowers using wafer paper, gum paste, and rice noodles. Turns out, I don't suck at it. The ruffles in the pic are wafer paper too.

I've made a lot of cakes over the years but I'm definitely an amateur when it comes to traditional decorating. I have no doubt the cake will be tasty. However, I know my limits with decorating.
I suck at intricate piping and absolutely hate fondant. If either of those are part of your dream cake, you don't want me making it.
But if you like the look of the cake in the pic decorated with wafer paper and a simple textured buttercream, I can totally make you a cake.
Pricing mostly depends on how intricate the wafer paper blooms/designs are and the size of the cake.

Pardon the mess. Eventually this will be a space where I let my creative juices fly and showcase edible flower arrangements available for purchase.
